Turkey Ski Resort Fire: At Least 76 Killed, 51 Injured; 9 People Detained As Part Of Probe
Death toll mounted to 76 while 51 others sustained injuries as a massive fire raged through a 12-storey hotel at the popular Grand Kartal ski resort in northwestern Turkey's Kartalkaya early Tuesday, officials said. The location is around 300 kilometres east of Istanbul.
Earlier, commenting of the incident, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told Associated Press, “We are in deep pain. We have unfortunately lost 76 lives in the fire that broke out at this hotel.” Read Full Story Here
