Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, which registered a massive opening, earning around Rs 50 crore on Day 1, witnessed a drop in box office collections on Day 2. The S Shankar directorial reportedly saw a 57.84% drop on its first Saturday, January 11.
On Day 2, the political thriller netted Rs 21.5 crore at the Indian box office, according to film industry tracker Sacnilk. Ram Charan's film collected highest in its original language, Telugu, which is Rs 12.7 crore. Hindi-language raked in Rs 7 crore, Rs 1.7 crore in Tamil and Rs 0.1 crore in Kannada.
The total box office collection of Game Changer is Rs 72.5 crore nett at the domestic box office.
The same portal also shared Game Changer's worldwide box office collection. The film reportedly grossed Rs 61.1 crore in the domestic market and Rs 19 crore in the overseas market on Day 1. So, the movie's global collection stands at Rs 80.10 crore on Day 1.
The makers of the film also shared the global box office earnings of Game Changer. They wrote on X, “#BlockbusterGameChanger GROSSES 186 CRORES WORLDWIDE on Day 1.”
Game Changer is likely to do well during the weekend and Sankranti holiday. But Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 is giving tough competition to the fresh releases. In that case, it would be interesting to see if Game Changer will be able to stay afloat or not.
