India's top doubles pair, Satwik and Chirag, secured a spot in the quarter-finals with a dominant performance, defeating local favorites Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong 21-15, 21-15 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
The seventh-seeded duo's win marked India's sole victory at the BWF Super 1000 tournament on Thursday.
They will now face another Malaysian pair, Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi, in the quarter-finals on Friday.
